Sandy Smith Studio

Exhibition Fabrication

Brooklyn-based fine art fabrication studio for artists, galleries, and institutions, working from concept through fabrication and installation across sculpture, installations, and exhibition display systems. Sandy Smith Studio builds custom artworks and exhibition components in-house, with capabilities spanning wood, metal, CNC fabrication, lighting, and mechanized or programmed works.

The studio’s practice centers on technically complex and materially diverse projects, including large-scale sculpture, experimental installations, and custom lightboxes. Fabrication is supported by a 4,500 sq ft Bushwick production space equipped for carpentry, metalworking, laser cutting, waterjet profiling, and automation, enabling precise realization of unconventional or technically demanding artworks.

Projects extend from one-off frames and display elements to full exhibition builds, with on-site installation and white-glove handling integrated into the workflow. The studio works with artists, museums, galleries, estates, and collectors on both local and international installations.
